People with bleeding disorders may experience bleeding during or after dental procedures. Be sure to notify your or your child’s dentist about the bleeding disorder, and he or she will take the necessary precautions.
In addition, always contact your doctor or treatment team or doctor before undergoing dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, block anesthesia and root canals. They will work with your dentist to determine what medications you should receive before and after the procedure in order to reduce bleeding.
